The arbitration system and coincidence analysis

The manuscripts will be received by REE secretary in order to review the accomplishment of the editorial norms established and the accepted percentage of coincidence by the means of turnitin system (up to 15%). The authors will be notified of the reception of the manuscripts as soon as they are registered. A member of the editorial committee will be designated to carry out the analysis of aspects related to the style, format of REE, as well as methodological rigor.  In two weeks, the decision will be communicated to the authors when the criteria are not accomplished.

The accepted manuscripts by editors must go through an external arbitration process based on a double-blind system. The pair-reviewers will be selected considering their area of expertise according to the study object in which the article focuses on. The evaluation process can take from three to six months depending on the number of articles existing in the process and the number of specialists in the Health Science field to which the article belongs to. Once a dictamen is reached, the result will be notified to the authors, who have ten days to fulfill the corrections done by pair-reviewers. The rejected articles can be submitted to other scientific journals according to the authors´ willingness after being officially notified.

The communications among reviewers and authors are mediated by the designed editor in charge of the particular process in order to keep anonymity. When necessary, the criteria-based differences must be resolved by a third reviewer or through an operative editorial decision based on the validity of the different arguments and in the interest of the object of the study considered.

The group of reviewers includes members of a scientific committee. There will be also considered those professionals researchers who show scientific expertise in the specific field of study which is the object of the article study. The selected pair-reviewers who do not show compromise and/ or objectivity in the emission of the judgment are withdrawn from that selected group.
