Biomarcadores para el pronóstico de gravedad en pacientes con SARS-CoV-2. Revisión Sistemática

El virus del SARS-CoV-2 ha afectado a más de 190 países, causando cerca de 7 millones de muertes. El cuadro clínico presenta desde sintomatología respiratoria leve hasta hospitalización y puede llegar a ser mortal. El objetivo de esta revisión fue sintetizar toda la evidencia científica existente en las bases de datos (PubMed, Web of Science y Scopus) sobre los biomarcadores para el pronóstico de pacientes infectados por SARS-CoV-2, según la estrategia de búsqueda PICO y el modelo PRISMA-ScR para revisiones sistemáticas y metaanálisis. Se encontraron 1.343 artículos de los cuales 39 cumplían con los criterios de selección. Se encontraron biomarcadores como: proteína C reactiva, interleucina -6, dímero D, proteína amiloide sérica y ferritina que pueden servir como pronóstico de gravedad de la enfermedad y al ser empleados en los servicios de salud, permitirán realizar una estratificación del riesgo más precisa y proporcionar un mejor seguimiento clínico a los pacientes.
